Third Sunday of Lent

 

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS GRADES 1-5

 

  GRADES 1-5:  Safety Sunday is next Sunday, March 14th for grades 4 and 5.  NO CLASSES FOR GRADES 1-3.  NO MONDAY CLASSES.

 

The next BROWN BAG LUNCH will be held on Friday, March 12th at 6:30pm in the church hall.

 

EDGE:  Next class is Tuesday, March 9th.

 

CONFIRMATION:  Next class is

                        Sunday, March 7th.  

 

COSMIC BOWLING . . .

The Brown Bag Lunch Program will

be having a fundraiser on Friday, March 26th from 4 until 6pm at Timber Lanes in Abington.

 

The tickets are $10 each and include 2 hours of

cosmic bowling and the shoe rental.  It is open to

all ages!  Tickets will be on sale after all the Masses on March 13th and 14th.  Please join us.

 

 

LAST CHANCE to purchase tickets on sale after weekend Masses . . .

Next Saturday, March 13th, there will be a St. Patrick’s Day celebration

including a corned beef dinner, cash bar, and entertainment in the church hall.  Festivities begin right after the 4:00pm Mass.

Ticket price is $10 per person. 

You may also purchase tickets at the Parish Office up until this Wednesday, March 10th.

 

ST. BERNADETTE SENIORS

 

Coffee hour:  each Tuesday after daily Mass.             

Knitting group:  meets every Wednesday at 9:30am in the Parish Center . 

 

 

 

Attention all volunteers!

 

All volunteers (over 18) are required to attend a Virtus Awareness Session.  If you have taken a session at another parish, please contact the office with the date and place.  A session will be held here at St. Bernadette’s on Sunday, March 21st at 2:30pm.

Arise . . .

As we enter the third week of Lent, so does the arise program.  The Spirit is working as each one prays, shares, and lives our faith more fully.  We continue to thank God for such an opportunity to be drawn closer to Him.

The Irish Pastoral Centre invites you to attend Mass at 12 noon, celebrated by Cardinal Sean O’Malley on St. Patrick’s Day at Holy Cross Cathedral, 1400 Washington Street in Boston .

 

Free mini bus service will run from Quincy and

Dorchester .  You must call to confirm your spot on the bus (617 479-7404 X13 by Monday, March 15th at 5pm.
